| Subject: Aaron update 10 Date: Thursday, December 12, 2002 10:20 AM From: Kevin Quick To: Aaron Update List I talked with Aaron’s neonatologist this morning. Aaron was put back on the nasal CPAP today (as shown in yesterday’s photo). He apparently did better on the nasal CPAP than on the mask CPAP. His blood gases are still OK, so they’re keeping him on the CPAP. They are watching him closely, though, because he is taxing his respiratory system pretty well. They tried feeding him again last night, but there was some “green stuff,” so they’ll wait another couple of days before trying again. He’s been on an antibiotic since last weekend, and he will be on it for a total of 10 days or so. There was a mild infection in his lungs that they’re trying to take care of. We’re planning on heading back to SF tomorrow. Kevin |
